Finishing up the month of June

Not much happened in June! I finished teaching Art at an Elementary school, I basically lived at the gym, I completed a Sprint Triathlon, personal trained a couple people, visited my nephew/family, ran 16miles in a Ragnar Relay Race, went to the Salt Lake City Temple, and had parties at my new house!  Well, I guess some stuff has happened! Anyway, the month has been great and successfull! Enjoy some pictures!

Personal Training!!

I’m training to be a personal trainer and decided to try a forty day program and track my results; as well as train for a triathlon! The program is a two day on-one day off, with weight lifting and high intense interval training (cardio).  It’s super intense but results are amazing! I love doing it! I love lifting weights and running. I guess working out in general; it's awesome! I’m also helping a couple friends work out as well. Keeping them motivated and helping with routines.  It’s really fun! There are some days I like to send them motivating quotes; there are a few of them below! Also, I'll keep you all updated on my results! I’m half way through the forty days! Let me know if you have any questions or want a personal trainer!! I'll hook you up!

Grandpier

Our family had a sad yet happy event occur recently. Our Grandpier had passed away; after four long years of suffering and holding on it was finally his time to return to our Heavenly Father. He was a great man! There are so many fond and happy memories of him. His funeral was definitely an uplifting and funny one. Grandpier was known for being funny, a jokester for sure. It was great to hear all the reminiscing from the families. I’m so glad to know that families are truly forever and even though he is gone, his spirit is still with us and his love is passed down through all of us. I love you Grandpier and will always remember you!

Work Fun and the Bubble Run!

Life has been sort of crazy with work and fun, but manageable. For work, I had the students do a paper Mache project, for earth day. We talked about recycling and keeping the world clean. All the kids brought in newspaper to reuse for the project. They loved it and it was quite fun, yet really stressful. I knew the kids were just gonna go crazy with the newspaper, the Mache, the paint, whatever! It was bound to happen. I had the kids sign contracts upholding to the responsibilities and rules during this project. Most of the kids did great. I had a few though, that painted on their faces and threw stuff. For those wrongful actions were terrible consequences, such as referrals and cleaning my classroom. Although, there was bad behavior in some classes, the kids really did enjoy and had fun with the project. The CRT’s were that week, big testing, so I thought it would be good to do something fun and stress relieving for them. And it was! The first week, each kid got their own balloon to mache, then the second week, each kid got paint their balloon. We painted the earth! They turned out pretty awesome! However, I did have 500+ mached balloons in my kiln closet as well as a disaster of a room! But it ended up being really great for the kids!

During that same time, I signed up for a 5k with some friends. It was a fun run, like the color run, but this was The Bubble Run! Which, in my opinion, was way cooler and way more fun than the color run. I wasn’t in the shower for hours scrubbing stained flour off my skin and out my nose! It was super fun! I ran with a bunch of friends, but most of them walked, so my friend Jordan and I ran the entire thing. We ran it pretty fast, surprisingly, because we took our time and had fun. Kind of weird to explain. Anyway, here are some pictures of the awesomeness! Enjoy!

Clark County Fair and Family!

Lots to talk about! So much has happened over the past couple months! I feel terrible not keeping up, but it seems pretty repetitive when it comes to me blogging...whoops. Regardless, I am blogging now and updating you all!
My sister, Hillary came out to visit! She brought, her husband and two kids, of course. She mainly came out for the Clark County Fair! The one in Logandale! It was such a great year too! The weather was amazing and had so many people come out to enjoy it! The fair lost a lot of vendors after last year, because of the terrible weather the past few years. But this year, oh mistake! So, that just meant more money for us! It was awesome! Anyway, back to Hillary’s family. It was great to see and play with Zoie and Charlotte! They are growing up so fast! Zoie is fun to play with and she can communicate fairly well so it was an enjoyable time for her. Charlotte is pretty laid back, but full of smiles! They are adorable! At the fair, Zoie got to ride the horsies, rode rides, bungee jump, face paint, watch the pig races, and ate a ton of goodies! Lucky girl! Charlotte didn’t do all that, but she did have some fun! It was great to spend time with them! Also, I got to spend time with Brad and Shelby and their boy Elliot. He is a hoot! He did a lot of what Zoie did too. Although, Zoie refused to get inside the bubbles, but Elliot, he loved it! He would talk to himself inside the bubble, because he could hear himself echo. It was super cute. Parents could not believe a child as young as he was could get in there! He was only nine and a half months at the time. Crazy brave! He also got his face painted, watched the pig races and ate soo much! I love my nieces and nephew! Amazing! Continuing, Hillary also took a night off from the family, as well as all the siblings, to just enjoy the fair. Basically we ate food and rode a bull!! Not a real bull, a mechanical one. Shelby and I went on together, Hillary and Matilda went on together, and Nathaniel went by himself. It was pretty funny. All the drunks loved watching two hot girls on a bull together, regardless of the actual relationship. It was funny! And such a good time! It was great to spend so much time with family! They are the best!!
