Fun Pictures!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Updates and pics for Halloween will be later! As of this late post...
..I finished my summer work!  Yay!  On the last day of the fair Matilda, Nathaniel, and I went on the fair rides.  Not too many though.  I forgot how sick I can get on those.  I also bought Elliot an awesome muscle shirt! It totally suits him! Anyway, here are some fun pictures!

(a kid was coming down the slide in my lane so that's why I wasn't looking, whoops)

Some Hair Ideas

I'm still in California working, but I got a present!  My family came to help out and to visit!  It's been great!  We've been slow for a couple days, but yesterday was busy so it was nice to have extra help.  And it's just been really great to see them.  My Dad, Matilda, and Nathaniel came down.  They're amazing! I love my family!  So, while they've been here I decided I wanted to try some new hair ideas, Matilda as my practice! What I'm thinking is taking seven days or two weeks and do her hair everyday with different hair styles and then post them on the blog and if anyone wants to try them, they can!  I enjoy doing hair and hope it works out!  Here are a couple pictures of Matilda's hair that I've already done.  The first is a half up waterfall braid and the second is the Hunger Games inside out, side french braid. Enjoy!

Last Fair!

Well I’ve been tired and slacking on my blogging!  Sorry for not staying super updated lately!  That being said, we left the fair in Othello, WA and drove home!  A good long twenty something hour drive!  It was long, yet short.  Joe and I were really excited to be home and see family and friends.  I got a week off before our next fair.  My dad was able to schedule a fair in the week I was home.  It was in Pahrump, NV.  I have family there, my Aunt Jeannette and Uncle Lee, and my cousins Makayla and Caleb.  It was so great to see them!  Caleb helped us work too!  He’s in fifth grade!  Crazy!  We had both the wall and the bubbles at this fair and it did great!  The people there really enjoyed it.  My dad enjoyed working it as well.  He misses it.  Anyway, so after that fair my dad took a second set of bubbles to Las Cruces, NM and I took the other set and went to Waco, TX.  Ridiculous, because the Las Cruces changed their fair dates during the middle of the summer and I didn’t realize that so the TX and NM fair were schedule at the same time.  It was a stress, but my dad and I handled it and everything went great.  Dad said the NM was a little slow, but again he missed it and enjoyed working.  I went to TX and it was alright.  Sorry to those who love Texas, but I do not enjoy Texas.  The weather was terrible all ten days we were there.  It was stormy, rainy, windy, humid, hot, up and down left and right, all over!!  It wasn’t fun.  We had half the tent rip off the frame and then it started raining.  We were so cold we bought a little heater at walmart to stay warm.  It was just nuts.
There were positives here too.  I took Branson Anderson with me.  He did a great job!  And the fair doesn’t start til the evening, like four, five or six.  So we have time to do whatever we like!  We were able to see four movies while being there!  We saw Looper, Taken 2, Trouble with a Curve, and Hotel Translyvania.  They were all pretty good. Trouble and Hotel were probably my favorites!  We laughed really hard in Hotel, good kid movie, but also scary at some parts.  We also did some shopping, well I did some shopping.  Branson just hung out!  Haha, it was fun.  We would get pretzels at the mall too!  Best part!  We went to the gym too! I also enjoyed building relationships with the staff there and the other vendors.  I have a lot of learning experiences while being on the road.  I feel like I’ve really matured and became a better person because of it.  I can tell you that I have a fair amount of patience now!  The drive home went by pretty fast.  Branson slept most of the way.  I drove the whole way, which was about 22 hrs. I had to pull over at one point to sleep for ten minutes to recuperate.
Oh, funny story!  So, we took down Saturday night after the fair was over.  There was a major storm coming and I didn’t want the tent ruined so we hustled and took everything down.  Well, I forgot to buy a squeegee thing for the pool to suck the water out and make it clean.  So the pool was pretty much empty, some water and dirt.  I told Branson to watch it so it didn’t blow away or anything while I ran to the store to buy a squeegee.  When I came back the pool was completely flipped over!!  Branson says, “I’m sorry Blythe, you told me to do one thing and I couldn’t do it.”  I was laughing so hard.  He then said, “I did what you asked.  I started to suck up the rest of the water and a gust of wind came and picked the pool up, while I was in it, and it flipped on top of me.  I had to crawl out of the pool.  It was so scary!  Like a giant blue mousetrap snapping down on me!  I thought I was dead!”  Ohhh, I laughed so hard!!  I could only picture him trying to run away but having nowhere to go! Hilarious!!  Hopefully you can all imagine this.  Anyways, it was a good trip.  I am now in Ridgecrest, CA.  This is a decent fair.  I have some time to hang out and have fun.  From my facebook post the other day I posted a quote from a movie Pitch Perfect.  The boy says, “I think I have the feeling we should kiss.” The girl says, “Well, I sometimes think I have the feeling of doing crystal meth, but then I think, hmmmm…better not.”  Oh man, funny movie!  So that’s what I’ve done so far in Ridgecrest, CA!  Watched Pitch Perfect, twice.  Haha!  It makes me happy and smile!  Well wish me luck!  Last fair of the season!  Very exciting!  Then more time with family!! I love them!  Have a great weekend everybody!

Mi Español

It’s been a slow boring weekend for work, which is nice, but not so nice at the same time. Everyone is working hard for that dinero! Anyway, I’ve had some time to catch up on reading and my Spanish! Yes, I’ve been practicing Spanish for a few months now and I would like to share a little bit of what I’ve learned.  I’ll just write a basic and brief paragraph for you all.

Boring work day, cant you tell?
¡Hola!  ¿Cómo estas usted?  Yo soy muy bien. Mi familia es grande con siete niños y dos pequeños perros. Mi mama y papa amor bicicletas. Mis hermanos amor nadan, come, cocinas, corre, y mucho mas. Nosotros tenemos a blanca y azul casa. La sala de estar es verde, y la cocina es roja, y el comedor es amarillo. El dormitorios en la casa son azul, blanco, rojo, y rosado. Mis abuelos viven debajo de la calle. ¡Yo quiero mi familia mucho! ¡Adiós!

So, I’ve learned a lot more than what I’ve written, but that’s the basic. I’m sure most of you can interpret it. It’s been a lot of fun learning Spanish. Though, it’s getting a lot more difficult.  But I’m ready for the challenge. I can’t imagine how my brother is feeling and doing with his Spanish.  I mean, c’mon, with only two months of learning the language then heading out to the foreign country to speak it?!  Crazy?!  I think so, but I know he is doing his best and the Lord is helping him. Hope you all enjoyed that!
Gorgeous sun in Othello, WA
Well, back to the fair! We close up tonight and will take down and guess what?!  Yup, head back HOME!! Joe and I are both super excited about it.  Joe has some plans with friends and of course his football.  I also have some plans with friends too and I’m super stoked about it!  We’ve been on the road for a few months now and it’ll be great to see familiar faces other than each others.  Anyway, we’ve got a seventeen hour drive ahead of us and it’ll be a long, fun one!! Can’t wait!

Picturesque Cashmere

Here is some neat geography information for you all, The city of Cashmere is acknowledged as the geographical center of the Washington State! And Cashmere is home to an internationally famous fruit candy, fruit packing and processing industry! Pretty cool, right?! And if you drive all over Cashmere, not a very big place (the population is like 3000) but you see signs and orchards of apples everywhere!! It's a really neat and homely place, if that makes any sense.
SO, the fair! Cashmere, being small as it is, is also a small, slow fair. We got there on Tuesday to set up. We had no difficulties, besides being on uneven ground, but we handled it, as we always do. Joe got pretty sick. I'm not sure how, but it was no bueno! We did laundry, grocery shopping, you know, the typical errands to prepare for the week, then we relaxed in the RV. Joe and I like the television show called Lie to Me. It's amazing! And we pretty much watch it everyday. It's quite fun! Anyway, the fair came and went. The last day was pretty crazy though. So, this whole season being on the road there hasn't been any rain! Or wind, for that matter. But the second to last day, Saturday, there was lightning and thunder all over the place! Then rain!! It was nuts! It was towards closing time too so not many people were out, but we still had quite a bit of business coming in. I think it was to get out of the rain though, but money doesn't say 'why', so I'm not complaining. But it was pretty cool, then the wind, on Sunday. That wasn't fun at all. We took down on time, but it was just crazy and hard with the tent. But, as we always do, we handled it and everything was fine. I finished taking down the next morning and we then headed to Othello, WA. I'll give you some geographical information next blog! Anyway, after this fair we head HOME! Yay! We will be home for a couple weeks and it'll be nice! Until next time...Adventure is Out There!!

Exhausted, but Staying Strong

Joe and I spent this last week in Walla Walla, WA. Joe is such a great friend and a great help, as well! We had no problems or worries setting the wall up or working it! So, in our time off, we went bowling!  This was quite fun and funny.  Seems like everything Joe and I have been doing has been just that.  It was pretty cool there too because we were the only ones in the bowling center!  Anyway, we played three games; we were going to play two, but the second didn't end so well so we had to play another one.  Joe won two games and I won one.  We had a lot of fun.
The fair went decently well.  Pretty slow, but still decent.  The worker that helped us did a great job. His name is Noah.  It took him a couple times to get it, but he finally got it and like I already said did a great job.  Got to meet up with a few friends as well, that was really cool! We partially took down on Sunday night and then finished Monday afternoon and drove to the next fair.
We are now in Cashmere, WA!  Little town next to Wenatchee, if any of you know where that is.  Anyway, we set up today and ran our errands and have been relaxing.  The fairs are starting to slow down now and we are coming to an end of our season.  Joe and I have both been pretty exhausted.  But on a good point, we get to go back home for a week in eleven days!! Yay!
We’re so excited!!
Also, Joe and I have been trying to keep in shape, lose weight, tone, gain muscle, you know-the works. So, that's pretty tough with all we do already, but with discipline and hard work, we're getting some of the results we want. I saw this picture on Facebook and it really motivated me to work even harder. Just thought I'd share that with all of you!
Well thanks for reading! I’ll keep you posted!

Moving right along..

The fair in Port Angeles went well. I didn’t have any problems, just the stress of teaching the workers how to do everything. But they got it quick and did a fine job! We took down that evening and headed to Kennewick, WA for the Benton-Franklin Tri-city Fair! We had to book it over there because the fair starts on Tuesday and it’s a six or seven hour drive.  And last time, I got in that accident and ran out of time and had a million other problems.  But this time we drove straight through with no problems!  It was relieving. We set up the next morning and didn’t have any problems.  It was really nice.  (It sounds like I’m building my sentences up to some big problem!)  We didn’t have any major problems at this fair. Just a bunch of little ones!  Joe and I had a lot of stress, but we got through it together.  Joe is a champ! He handled the bubbles and I handled the wall! We both did great and it was always nice at night because we got to see free concerts! We watched, REO Speedwagon, Hinder, Big and Rich, Foghat, and Jerrod Niemann!
They were all pretty good concerts! It was very fun to listen to while working.

Anyway, we finished yet another fair!  It was great to be done with that one!  On Sunday, I went to church and took care of a couple other business stuff then Joe and I took down. I’m not sure why, but we had a ton of fun taking down and laughed the entire time.  I don’t even know why we were laughing so hard!  It was funny!  We took down then showered and grab some dinner. After we took off to Walla Walla, WA!  We set up that night so we could have two days off!! Yippee! So far, Monday, we ran our errands, did laundry, and went to the Movies.  Joe wanted to see the Expendables 2.  That was a good movie.  Hardly any talking, just action!  And if there was talking it was just sarcasm towards each other.  It was a very funny movie.  So, as of today, I’m not sure what we have planned, but I’ll let you know next post!! Thanks for reading everyone! Hope you enjoyed it!  Adventure is out there!!

Exploring with my time off

So, we got to Port Angeles, WA. Way up north, near Canada. I had a lot of fun here. With my few days of time off I did a lot of hiking and exploring.  The Olympia National Park was only a few minutes away so I could do a ton of stuff.  So, on my hikes I saw a ton of stuff! I saw a ton of deer, chipmunks, mountain goats, and a marmot! Crazy, right?! I thought so! And they were all super close, I could have touched them if they didn’t get so scared! Anyway, I also went to a beach and got in the freezing cold water! The families there were all swimming and having so much fun.  A lady told me that it was a hot day for them, so everyone comes to the beach! It was only 78 degrees outside!!  The water didn’t feel too great for me! I got in half way and was done. It’s the Nevada heat that gets me! I had a lot of fun exploring and going on hikes!
Enjoy the pictures!!

Craziness!

It’s been a crazy few weeks! Sorry late on the blog posts! It’s been a stressful few weeks as well! So let’s start from the second week in august, shall we?! We were in Clark County, Ridgefield, Washington for the ten day fair!! We didn’t do a ton of stuff here, more just hanging out until the fair started. The fair went pretty well.  Some parts were slow of course, so I had some time to read and make bracelets! I made a Captain America bracelet!! I thought of doing all the Avenger heroes! Pretty cool, huh?!  They also had a fun play and brain game area, so I was over there a lot messing around with all the stuff! I even built this cool contraption! Oh I also ran into some old friends! Jest in Time!!

Well, later in the week we have another fair booked for the bubbles.  So I left Joe, on his own, to run the wall and I drove to good ol’ Tillamook, Oregon to run the bubbles.   This was kind of upsetting because we weren’t in the same spot as last year so no one knew where we were.  It was tough.  I also slept in the back of the truck because Joe had the RV in Ridgefield!
Pretty crazy, although it was slightly comfortable as well.

Oh and what a small world we live in!!
While in Tillamook, this lady came over and she looked so familiar. We finally got to talking and she asked if I was in Grangeville, ID for the border days! Our very first fair! I told her yes and she said her mom lives there and she was visiting! She showed me a video on her phone of me jumping her little boy!  It was so crazy!  So we had to get a picture of it!! How fun!! Anyway, I made it through the Tillamook fair with no problems besides having to take everything down by myself and driving at four in the morning! But all went well and we worked the wall on Sunday, the last day of the CC fair and then took down! No problems!  Then, off to Port Angeles, WA for the next weekend fair!

Thanks everyone!

Beautiful Day in Seattle!

We have a couple days off until the next fair starts, so Joe and I decided to go to Seattle! Joe has never been to Seattle before so he was excited to go. We parked on Harbor Ave, by Seacrest Park and took the Water Taxi over to Downtown Seattle. The water taxi is way cool and fun for me because the first year I started doing this with my father, we took that over to downtown Seattle. It's nothing super amazing, but it is cool to say that you've done it and got to see the Seattle skyline. Anyway, on the water taxi you get to see a lot of cool sights. Some things we saw was a Fire Boat, like a fire truck, but a boat and a Navy plane. They were both way cool to see and they were super close to us!

When we docked in Seattle we walked over to Pike's Place. A must see location in Seattle. They have almost everything there. To clothes, flowers, fish, live entertainment, to bums, jewelry, assorted fruits and veggies, to artwork...a lot of stuff. It's really neat and a lot of fun. I bought some fresh blackberries and raspberries. They were delicious! Oh, there is this one fish market place there and the team throws fish and crab when someone orders it and they yell...a lot! It's really funny. When we were there they threw three crab and a huge fish. They can also get tips and when they do they yell "We gotta Tip! Yay!" Very fun! A must see place for sure! We also walked down Post Alley where you can see the Wall of Gum! Yuck!

After Pike's Place we walked to the Space Needle! We checked out various shops along the way. One of which was a comic shop, which Joe loves. We also stopped along the way to take pictures of the cool architecture they had. The Needle was cool to see from down low and at a distance, we didn't go up because it was pretty pricey. Afterwards, we walked around some more and headed back over to wrap up the day. Stopped at a couple chocolate/souvenir shops, one which had these cute truffles! I had to take a picture for my nephew Elliot, because of the elephants! So cute!

So, we wrapped up the day by watching the famous spray painters of Seattle. It's crazy to see the art work that can be done with spray paint. There are so many very talented people out in the world! Crazy! We took the water taxi back over to Seacrest park, then took a few more pictures as we said Goodbye to Seattle. We had a ton of fun and really enjoyed being tourists for a day!
