Happy Birthday Ben!

I’m a little late posting this for the day, but today is one of my brothers birthday. My brother, Benjamin Scott Thompson, is 17 years old today! Although, he is not here physically he is still here in heart and spirit. I just want to tell my family and especially him that I love you and I am so glad that the Lord placed me in such a happy and wonderful family.  I really miss him and my family, especially Josh. But I know everyone is where they are suppose to be right now and we are all going to end up in the same place and be happy for eternity! Happy Birthday Ben! I love you

The Adventures Continue

We had a great week off! Spent some time with the Lutz's, as I've already written in previous posts. But something fun and meaningful we did was a run for 'Race for the Cure'. My mother had breast cancer so I ran for her and for all others who have survived and passed on. Each person running got to make a bag for a loved one who either passed away from cancer or survived it. It was a normal white lunch bag that you decorated. Then filled with some dirt and a candle put inside. Once it got dark we lit all the candles. It was really neat, but sad. Neat, because there were bags around the entire track and some on the bleachers that spelled out HOPE then later changed to CURE. But, it was sad because there have been so many that have passed away. Altogether though, it was a lot of fun. Addie, Kate, Joe, and I walked for a long time. We probably walked/run seven or so miles. Anyway, that was a great time and a fun time off.

Beautiful Sunset in Grangeville, ID

After we set up the wall and bubbles in Hillsboro, Joe and I went Ice Skating in Portland! It was super funny and fun. Joe's ice skated before, but he said it was when he was like seven years old. So, it was pretty much his first time! I had to video him! Enjoy!

Well we finished, yet another fair...Hillsboro, OR--check! It was a pretty good fair. Weather was fine, typical temperatures and humidity. Blah, I don't like the humidity. Anyway, I had some of the young men from church there to help me out. There names are, Garrick, Alex, Stuart, Tristan, Jared, and a young woman named Cassidy. They did a swell job! Glad I was able to have so much help. One of the days, Alex's family came. I let his two brothers jump on the bungee for free. We were slow and it was no big deal. His Mother was super grateful that I did that for her boys. So grateful, that she made me Butterscotch banana bread!! Which, I've never had and it was delicious! That made me feel really good. Anyway, it was a good, fast fair! Here are some pictures!

Chewelah Chataqua!

The Chewelah Chataqua Days!! This past week was spent in Chewelah, WA. It's about an hour South of Canada! Pretty crazy! Anyway, it was a decent fair. The weather was very hot and extremely humid. Not many people came out because of it. Joe and I worked everyday and then on two days I had a girl named Nina, (pronounced Nigh-nuh), come help out. She did a great job! I didn't have to worry at all because she picked up on it quickly and had a great attitude the entire time. We didn't have any problems this fair, thank goodness. Everything is going along smoothly.
I attended church on Sunday and had a great time! I bought a new dress, so I had to wear it! Its silky and very smooth, I love it. I could only attend sacrament because I had to work, but it went great. A little girl spoke on Families and her main point was about cookie ingredients. With the vanilla, sugar, flour, etc alone it isn't much and is worthless, but when combined you can create something special, like families! It was cute. Another lady spoke on the same topic and she told stories about her family and how important they are to her. Then after a musical number a high council spoke. He spoke on pride. And it was great! I learned a lot. He gave several scriptures and stories. I loved attending church. It made my whole day so much better! And I felt really great giving time to Lord. I had plenty of other things to do, but taking time each day to devote to the Lord is so worth it!
We have a week off now and have some fun plans. We are going to go back to Grangeville to see the Lutz family again! Should be a ton of fun! And we may leave a little early to do some exploring with the waterfalls in Washington! I'm excited! Anyway, here are some fun pics and videos below, BlackJack fun, View of Lewiston, and Joe having fun 'Pretend' choking Zoe! Enjoy!!

Fourth of July Fun!

Most everyone knows by now, my older sister, Hillary had her baby girl. Charlotte Leigh Congdon. She is an adorable, precious little girl. I can't give you the whole labor story, like I did with Shelby, because I was not present. But it was a successful one and worth it! Hillary is happy she finally came! We all are.

It was HOT!

As for me, I started my summer road trip!! I guess its more summer road/work/play trip. I have a good friend on the road with me, JOE! Same guy as last year. He came out the last two months of the season last year, so he knows what he's doing! So it'll be great help to have him, wish I could have had one more, but that'll just mean more work for me, what's new?! Haha..anyway, the trip up here went fine. We got a new RV, so it was a test run for it. And it was a test, we ran out of gas with only 117 miles!! Crazy! But we figured out some new stuff and we were able to put more fuel in it and keep going. It put us back a few hours, bummer. But we made it here to Grangeville, ID around 230 a.m. It was a long HOT driving day. Set up, which ran into our next problem. The wall wasn't lifting and we couldn't figure out why. The battery was 100% charged and that's usually what it is. We had some friends look at it as well as Joe googling what could possibly be wrong and found out it was the motor or a little glitch in the solenoids. So a couple taps to each and waalaa! It was fixed! Oh craziness. So we finished the Grangeville, ID Border Days Fair. July 2nd-4th. It was slow, but decent. Good fun to start off the season with. We gotta a little burnt, always happens, but it was still fun. We got to watch the fireworks too! So we were able to have a fourth too! Joe and I went with the Lutz family. A great, wonderful, helpful, and supportive family! They are amazing! Joe and I sat together with their children and the parents, Genny and Brad laid next to all of us. Zoie sat in Joe's lap, very cute and then Kate laid in my lap! Addie and Harrison were working concessions and watched with friends..They missed the fun with us! We named the fireworks too-the best fireworks were the ZING-ZOW ones!! Haha, it was great! We now have another week until the next fair starts, in Chewelah, WA. So, we've been chilling with the Lutz's and having fun. Went river rafting/floating, volleyball, breakfast/dinner, movies, games, fireworks, ice cream, just having fun!! They are such a great family! Anyway, that's been the past week!! I'll keep you all updated as best I can!! Love you all!
